Police in South Africa’s (SA) North West province have arrested a 37-year-old Lesotho national for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition following an intelligence-driven operation.
The arrest was carried out in Extension 5 in Makwassie, where members of Crime Intelligence, working alongside the Potchefstroom K9 Unit, acted on information and raided a property.
Police confirmed that the woman was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, leading to her arrest and subsequent charges.
She is expected to appear before the Wolmaransstad Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
