Lesotho table tennis boosted by ITTF equipment donation

The Lesotho Table Tennis Association (LTTA) has received a major boost following a donation of equipment from the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) under its global development programme.

The consignment, unveiled at the Lesotho National Olympic Committee premises in Maseru West, includes 10 competition tables, nets, balls, and racquets.

LTTA President Thabang Mokhele said the donation would play a crucial role in advancing the sport’s growth and accessibility across the country. “This support will help us expand the game into schools, communities, and institutions, allowing more young people to take up table tennis,” Mokhele said.

He added that the equipment arrived at a particularly important time, as the association is in the process of preparing a national team for the 4th African Youth Games, scheduled to take place in Angola from December 10 to 20, 2025.

The LTTA says the donation reflects ITTF’s continued commitment to strengthening the sport at grassroots level and fostering greater participation across Africa.
