Liberia is looking to strengthen partnerships, develop smarter financing models, and implement evidence-based reforms to advance its public health agenda and improve emergency preparedness.
The country’s plans will take centre stage at the upcoming Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) 2025–2026, a three-day gathering set to spotlight Liberia’s progress in transforming health outcomes for women, children, and adolescents, despite global funding pressures.
Medical Officer at the Ministry of Health, Dr Catherine T. Cooper, says Liberia has made strides in expanding access to care and aims to do even more through collaboration with international partners.
