Malawi’s Speaker of Parliament, Sameer Suleman, has established a special committee to investigate the plane crash that killed Vice President Saulos Chilima and eight others.

The committee will include independent members of parliament as well as representatives from major political parties, including the Democratic Progressive Party, Malawi Congress Party, United Transformation Movement and United Democratic Front.

The move is aimed at uncovering the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash and ensuring accountability, as questions continue to mount over the incident.
