Defending champions Morocco tightened their grip on top spot in Group A at the Futsal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with a ruthless 7-0 victory over Zambia at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Hall in Rabat.
Star attacker Idriss Raiss El Fenni stole the show, firing four past the Zambian defense to keep the host nation’s title defense on a seamless track with back-to-back wins. Morocco asserted control right from the opening whistle, leaving Zambia with little room to mount any meaningful threat.
In Wednesday’s earlier Group A fixture, Algeria snatched a dramatic 2-2 draw against Libya after mounting a late second-half comeback. The shared points leave both sides still chasing their first win of the tournament, keeping the race for a semi-final spot wide open.
