Motsepe confers CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 on African Presidents

Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Dr Patrice Motsepe has conferred the CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 on HE Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania and H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.

Motsepe’s Outstanding Achievement Awards were presented at the CAF Awards 2025 ceremony at the Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique held on November 19. 2025.

Motsepe thanked the three Heads of States for their commitment and dedication to the growth and development of African Football following the successful hosting of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024.

The TotalEnergies CHAN Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda 2024 has been rated as the most successful CHAN in the recent history of the Competition.

The success of TotalEnergies CAF CHAN PAMOJA 2024 represented a major milestone for African football, underscoring the power of collaboration between African governments, CAF Member Associations, and regional institutions.

The CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award has previously been bestowed upon several distinguished African Leaders whose contributions have had a transformative impact on the game.

2022: HE Paul Kagame, the President of Rwanda and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco

2024: H.E. President Paul Biya of Cameroon and H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt

2025: HE Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania and H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.
