The Mambas, making their sixth appearance at Africa’s flagship competition, will look to progress beyond the group stage for the first time in their history. Conde has retained the core of the team that featured at the last edition in Côte d’Ivoire, with 16 players returning for another continental campaign.
They are joined by nine newcomers who will experience TotalEnergies CAF AFCON action for the first time.
Among the returning contingent are goalkeepers Ernani and Ivane Urrubal, along with seasoned defenders Mexer, Reinildo, Bruno Langa, Ifren Matola, Edmilson Dove and Nené.
Mozambique open their campaign on the December 24 against defending champions Côte d’Ivoire, aiming to make a strong start in what promises to be a highly competitive tournament.
