Young people living in the rural communities of northern Mozambique are set to benefit from a new socio-economic initiative launched by the Moz Community project, aimed at boosting local development and youth empowerment across the region.

The development programme specifically targets young residents in the northern provinces of Nampula, Niassa, and Cabo Delgado. These areas have faced persistent socio-economic challenges, and the project aims to provide sustainable opportunities to improve livelihoods and foster community resilience.

In a comprehensive report on the initiative, Journalist Bright Sonjela outlined how the Moz Community project is structured to assist rural youth through practical skill acquisition, entrepreneurship support, and local resources. The programme provides vocational training to help young people establish sustainable small businesses and secure gainful employment. By directing these efforts towards Nampula, Niassa, and Cabo Delgado, the project seeks to equip the younger generation with the tools needed to drive long-term community development.
