The newly elected International President of Doctors Without Borders (MSF), Dr Javid Abdelmoneim, has voiced strong disappointment over the recent G20 Health Ministers’ meeting held in South Africa’s (SA) Limpopo province.
Abdelmoneim said the meeting should have been an opportunity for G20 countries to unite in support of universal access to healthcare, but instead “did the opposite.”
He was addressing the media on his vision for leading MSF, reflecting on his extensive medical and humanitarian experience, the organisation’s ongoing work in SA, and the broader challenges facing global health.
