The Muslim Judicial Council in South Africa (SA) has proposed a three-pronged national framework to address and manage migration in the country.
The proposal comes amid ongoing anti-immigrant protests and violence targeting foreign nationals.
The organisation says it opposes unlawful migration, but stresses that no individual or group should act outside the law.
They also called on African states to reflect on the broader migration challenge.
