The First National Bank Namibian Eagles will once again come up against South Africa’s (SA) Proteas as part of a packed international cricket programme scheduled for next year.
Cricket Namibia Chief Executive Officer Johan Muller recently announced the senior men’s fixtures, which include the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 Cricket World Cup to be hosted in India and Sri Lanka, as well as a tri-nations series featuring the Proteas and Zimbabwe.
In addition to the tri-series, the Eagles will also take part in several ICC Cricket World League 2 series, ensuring a demanding and full international calendar for the Namibian side.
The team will begin its preparations for the T20 World Cup in Cape Town before departing for India in mid-January. The Eagles will then continue their build-up in Karnataka, where they are scheduled to play several international warm-up matches.
Further preparation matches will take place in the week leading up to the start of the T20 Cricket World Cup, which gets underway on the 7th of February.
