Namibia’s Brave Gladiators have been awarded $18 000 by Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) after their amazing run at the 2025 Cosafa Women’s Championship.

The national team made history by beating South Africa’s Banyana Banyana 2-1 to lift the trophy, a huge moment for women’s football in Namibia.

MTC Spokesperson Tim Ekandjo said the team’s success “gives hope for the growth of women’s football in the country” and inspires young girls to pursue the sport.
