SA says intensive negotiations are underway to accommodate
South Africa (SA) says intensive negotiations are underway to accommodate United States (US) at the G20 Leaders Summit on Saturday.
President Cyril Ramaphosa, addressing the media while hosting the European Union delegation in Sandton north of Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, said he did receive a notice from the US indicating that they wish to take part in the G20 gathering this coming weekend.
Initially US pulled out of the summit.
Ramaphosa says government is still digesting the latest developments where the US has indicated their intention to be part of the G20 summit.
He says the US is a member of the G20 and have a right to participate, but the Ramaphosa says SA is looking at the logistics on how to make this possible.
