Emerging scientific evidence has revealed that the effects of caffeine are highly variable among South Africans(SA).

The figures show that an estimated 10% of individuals who consume products that contain caffeine are classified as “slow metabolisers”. They face heightened risks of anxiety and heart palpitations from minimal doses of caffeine.

Health experts have further warned that natural ageing alongside hormonal fluctuations can drastically intensify these negative side-effects.
