Niger’s military ruler, Abdourahamane Tiani, has accused the governments of France, Benin and Ivory Coast of supporting an attack on Niamey’s international airport.
Tiani did not provide any evidence to back up his claims. The allegations come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing security challenges in the country.
No official response has been issued by the governments named in the accusations. Observers warn that such claims could further strain diplomatic relations in West Africa.
