Limpopo province traffic officers in South Africa (SA) have intercepted an overloaded bus on the National route (N1) outside Polokwane.
The bus, travelling from Malawi to Johannesburg has a carrying capacity of 70 passengers but 90 were on board.
Traffic authorities also say a passenger list has recorded 25 passengers. The bus driver has fled on foot, but an assistant driver is at the scene.
Transport Department spokesperson Matome Taueatsoala says that police and immigration officers are processing the passengers.
