Prominent Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo was among six people killed when a helicopter crashed in the Marondera rural district, east of Harare, this Wednesday afternoon.

National police and emergency services confirmed that the aircraft went down at approximately 17:00 CAT, leaving no survivors among the two pilots and four passengers on board.

Law enforcement officials and forensic investigators responded to the crash site to secure the area, begin formal identification of the victims, and investigate the technical cause of the fatal incident.
