The South African Netball team, the Proteas, will host England in a three-match International Netball Challenge series starting this weekend in Johannesburg.
The series is crucial as the Proteas fine-tune their preparations for the 2027 Netball World Cup Africa Regional Qualifiers in Kenya and the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this year.
Fresh off their Africa Netball Cup victory in Lilongwe, the Proteas now face a tough challenge against England, ranked fourth in the world.
Coach Jenny van Dyk says alignment within the squad is key. “It’s important for us to align within the camp and to make sure that all the players understand what we’re working towards, what it is that our views are, who we’re playing against, and also how it fits in with our gameplay,” she said.
