Russia says Africa is advancing to the forefront of global politics, becoming a fully-fledged player of the polycentric world.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry says it is willing to expand its ties with the African nations.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Africa is one of Moscow’s key foreign policy priorities.
He said African countries are interested in developing ties with Russia and this strategic cooperation is mutually beneficial.
He noted that African countries are moving from gaining political independence towards managing their resources and their wealth primarily in their national interests, while remaining open to international cooperation.
Moscow underlines that Africa is a continent with vast and rich resources comparable to Siberia.
And that wealth has been until recently used not to benefit the people of Africa.
