South Africa’s (SA) Border Management Authority (BMA) Commissioner, Mike Masiapato will today inspect the Beit Bridge border post in Musina, in the country’s Limpopo province
The aim of the inspection is to ensure the smooth processing of travellers between SA and Zimbabwe. The post the busiest road border post in Southern Africa and serves as a vital transit link for trade and travel to several other landlocked countries in the region.
The BMA, SA National Defence Force, immigration officers as well as other stakeholders are anticipating a high number of travellers returning from various destinations as the festive season draws to a close.  During the month of December last year, more than 7 000 people were intercepted for attempting to enter SA illegally.
