SA, Brazil reaffirm commitment to bilateral cooperation

South Africa (SA) and Brazil have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral co-operation, with Foreign Ministers Ronald Lamola and Mauro Vieira, saying progress was being made in implementing existing agreements.
The Joint Commission served as a platform for the two countries to review their bilateral relations, assess progress in existing areas of cooperation, and explore new opportunities to further strengthen the SA and Brazil strategic partnership.
Lamola, says SA and Brazil are moving towards implementing agreements reached under their strategic partnership.
Lamola made these remarks to the media at the conclusion of the Eighth Session of the SA and Brazil Joint Commission in Pretoria, Gauteng Province on Wednesday.
He says the two countries have reviewed progress in areas including agriculture, science and technology, trade and cooperation in multilateral forums.
