The Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) Director-General, Zane Dangor, has called on South Africa (SA) and the European Union (EU) to reinforce their commitment to human rights and deepen bilateral ties to navigate growing global instability.
Dangor made the remarks during the opening of the 17th SA-EU Joint Cooperation Council meeting in Pretoria today.
The high-level session sees leaders from both sides assessing the current state of their diplomatic and economic relations while mapping out fresh opportunities for closer collaboration.
Emphasising the core pillars of the partnership, Dangor highlighted that continuous dialogue, mutual knowledge-sharing, and direct investment in the future of young people remain vital to addressing shared global challenges effectively.
