South Africa’s (SA) Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Blade Nzimande will deliver the opening remarks at the 2025 World Conference of Science Journalists today.
The week-long gathering started on Monday at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research International Convention Centre in Pretoria, Gauteng Province.
Over 400 Science Journalists, Editors, and Communicators from across the world are expected to attend the conference.
It occurs every two years and this is the first time that it is being hosted on the African continent.
The event offers Science Journalists and their stakeholders an opportunity to share ideas, stimulate debate and form solutions regarding how science journalists can contribute to building resilience amongst humanity.
