South Africa’s (SA) Minister of International Relations and Co-operation Ronald Lamola is hosting Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi in Pretoria, in a visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties.
Talks are expected to focus on energy co-operation, security, critical minerals and investment, including Japan’s commitments under the Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
The two countries share long-standing diplomatic relations spanning more than a century, with co-operation across trade, science and technology, education and skills development.
