South Africa (SA) and Italy are looking to strengthen agricultural trade and investment ties through a new bilateral partnership.
Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen and his Italian counterpart, Francesco Lollobrigida, are hosting the inaugural SA and Italy Agriculture Business Forum in Cape Town, Western Cape Province.
The two-day gathering brings together business leaders, innovators and policymakers to explore opportunities in agriculture, agro-processing and market access.
The ministers are also expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at deepening co-operation between the two countries.
