The Executive Director of the South African National Editors’ Forum Reggie Moalusi, says online harassment and intimidation of journalists, particularly women, remain serious concerns.
He was speaking at the Media Freedom Festival underway in Parkwood, Johannesburg.
The gathering has brought together journalists, academics, journalism educators and civil society organisations to discuss threats to media freedom ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.
