Brothers, Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande were arrested in eSwatini early last year after months on the run. Their extradition follows their decision to withdraw an appeal against an ESwatini court ruling ordering their return to SA.
The pair are accused of masterminding the fatal shooting outside a Durban restaurant in February 2023. Kubayi says their return is expected on Tuesday.
“We will definitely work around the clock with all the law enforcement agencies, especially various countries, to be able to bring them back.
This extradition we will remember that many have been criticising the state. And us as government in the manner in which we handle extraditions which at times have loopholes.
Or are not successful and others will make a link with the case against Malawi’s Shepperd Bushiri. But when it’s done appropriately, they’re successful.
We are looking forward to the brothers coming back on Tuesday. Through the mechanism working together with SA Revenue Services because these processes are prescribed as it will be Interpol working with the police to bring them back,” she said.
