South Africa’s (SA) men’s netball team isn’t letting tournament scheduling delays distract them as they look to defend their continental crown in Kenya this September.
The squad recently laid down an impressive marker, beating eSwatini 53–43 in a Telkom Netball League exhibition match in Pretoria to sharpen their match fitness.
Netball Africa is still yet to lock down the official dates for the tournament, but SA goal attack Shane Labuschagne says the waiting game hasn’t derailed their training camp.
“The uncertainty hasn’t messed with our preparations at all because the focus is purely on sharpening our own game. We know every team will be gunning for us as the reigning champions, but the blueprint to keep our trophy is already in place.”
