South African (SA) Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille has celebrated SA’s strong tourism recovery since Covid pandemic in 2020.
She noted that in September, the country had 1.1 million more visitors than in the same month last year.
She emphasised the need for real time data to provide seamless digital navigation, curated itineraries, transport options and province-specific content.
De Lille said this is to ensure SA keeps pace with global innovations.
She was speaking at the OR Tambo International Airport, Gauteng Province, during the launch of the Smart Visitors App.
