The South African (SA) Parliament’s Impeachment Committee will meet on Wednesday morning, with its work now facing legal challenges over the appointment of its evidence leader.
The SA’s opposition party Economic Freedom Fighters has approached the Western Cape Province High Court to challenge the committee’s decision to rescind its recommendation of Advocate Thandazani Madonsela.
The party wants the court to declare the decision unlawful and set it aside.
The African Legal Professional Association is also challenging the committee’s decision.
