SA police confirm more bodies retrieved at Ekapa mine in Kimberley

It has been a month since five miners were trapped underground following a mud rush incident at the Ekapa joint shaft.
South African (SA) Police members in Kimberley, Northern Cape province  have confirmed that more bodies have been retrieved at the Ekapa Minerals Joint Shaft.
Forensic Pathology Services and police were seen entering the mine premises, while authorities also met with Ekapa Minerals management as part of ongoing investigations.
It has been a month since five miners were trapped underground following a mud rush incident at the Ekapa joint shaft.
Two weeks ago, rescue teams managed to retrieve one miner after efforts were delayed by water underground.
Police say more bodies have now been retrieved as investigations and recovery operations continue at the mine.
