This has been confirmed by his Spokesperson, Sthembiso Mshengu in a statement released this morning.

In the statement, Mchunu reiterates his full cooperation with all lawful processes and reaffirms his unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability and the rule of law. He adds that he has nothing to hide and welcomes any lawful investigation aimed at clarifying facts and upholding the integrity of public office.

Mchunu, is on leave of absence after being implicated in the ongoing Madlanga Commisson into police corruption.
