South African (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived in Bern, Switzerland, the fourth stop on his multi-nation diplomatic tour aimed at strengthening the country’s global trade relationships.
The visit follows two official state visits to Vietnam and Indonesia, as well as a working visit to Malaysia, where Ramaphosa was awarded an honorary doctorate. The Presidency highlighted the growing influence of Southeast Asia as a trade bloc, stressing the importance of deepening engagement to access new market opportunities.
In Bern, Ramaphosa is being hosted by Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter for a state visit focused on expanding bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.
