African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa says governance challenges at South Africa’s (SA) state-owned Public Investment Corporation, the country’s largest asset manager, must be addressed.
His comments follow the appointment of Deputy Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Seiso Mohai.
He is the corporation’s new Chairperson, replacing Deputy Finance Minister Dr David Masondo.
Ramaphosa was speaking while campaigning in Mpumalanga Province ahead of SA’s local government elections in November.
