South Africa’s (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to deliver the eulogy at the funeral of the country’s ambassador to France, Nathi Mthethwa, in Kwa-Mbonambi outside Durban on Sunday.
Mthethwa has been accorded a Special Official Funeral Category 2, which includes ceremonial honours performed by the South African Police Service.
The former Cabinet Minister and diplomat was found dead in the inner courtyard of a Paris hotel after falling from the 22nd floor more than a week ago. His death has drawn tributes from political leaders and colleagues who have remembered him for his decades of public service.
