SA and Brazil share historic and fraternal ties.
South Africa’s (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa will undertake a state visit to Brazil this Monday and Tuesday on the invitation of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
SA and Brazil share historic and fraternal ties, built on friendship, shared African heritage, solidarity, South Co-operation and multilateralism.
The state visit will focus on, amongst others, enhancing diplomatic, political, economic and commercial relations as well as strengthening co-operation in agribusiness, aerospace, and energy.
Brazil, the largest economy in Latin America, remains a key partner for SA.
Bilateral trade between SA and Brazil reached $2 billion in 2025, with South African exports amounting to $309 million.
