South Africa’s (SA) Public Service Commission is today set to handover a report with its findings following its investigation into challenges facing the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) to the Minister of Communication & Digital Technology, Solly Malatsi.
This follows Malatsi’s request for the department to do an independent investigation, as far back as December 2024, around governance failures, leadership instability, weak accountability and other ills at the organisation.
SITA is a key government department responsible for the procurement of government Information and Communications Technology resources.
It is also there to help drive government services with the use of digital technology.
