The Proteas have a warm- up match against hosts in India at the DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai this afternoon and according to coach Shukri Conrad, the squad is rearing to go. The South Africans will get their campaign underway against Canada in Ahmedabad on Monday. The Protea’s Coach, Shukri Conrad says the opportunity presents a  clean slate for the team.

“We need to play well we need to get out of the group stage there’s a lot to a world cup than a once off test match tricky games all of them is a must win essentially and every side can beat any side on its day its a fickle format but we need to make sure we win the clutch moments get out of the group stages and then start ramping it up as we go along its going to be a tough nut to crack but we up for it,” Conrad said.
