South Africa’s (SA) rugby coach, Rassie Erasmus, is good to go for another two Rugby World Cup tournaments.
SA Rugby announced that it has extended the double World Cup-winning Springbok coach’s contract for a further four years.
It means Erasmus his contract will only expire in 2031, after the World Cup mooted to be in the United States.
SA Rugby President Mark Alexander made the announcement at the federation’s general meeting of member unions.
He said the governing body was proud to reaffirm its commitment to excellence by extending the agreement with Erasmus.
He has made an enduring impact and shaped the identity of Springbok rugby since he was first appointed as Director of Rugby in 2018.
