The scholar transport driver who crashed into a truck in South Africa’s (SA) Gauteng province on Monday is now facing 14 counts of murder, three of attempted murder, driving without a valid permit, and operating an unlicensed vehicle.
SA Police Services have confirmed that the death toll has risen to 14 after two more learners succumbed to injuries.
The driver has appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court south of Johannesburg.
