South Africa’s Co-operative Governance Minister, Velenkosini Hlabisa Velenkosini Hlabisa has officially proclaimed November 4 2026 as the date for Local Government Elections.

This marks the start of the 90-day countdown to the November Fourth local government elections. With the Gazette in place, citizens have until midnight to register to vote on the Electoral Commission of SA platforms online.
