The week’s highlights began at the Doha Diamond League, where Sinesipho Dambile secured a breakthrough career-best victory in the men’s 200m, firmly establishing his place among world-class sprinters.
Meanwhile, at the FBK Games in Hengelo, Netherlands, the track produced a thrilling all-SA showdown in the men’s 100m. National star Akani Simbine narrowly edged out compatriot Bradley Nkoana to take the win. On a cold and highly tactical evening, both athletes officially clocked 10.08 seconds, with Simbine claiming victory by a razor-thin photo-finish margin separated only by thousandths of a second.
