South Africa (SA) is stepping up efforts to encourage voter registration ahead of its local government elections on November 4, 2026.
The country’s Electoral Commission says community outreach campaigns in the Western Cape are helping bring election information and key government services closer to residents.
Working alongside departments such as Home Affairs and Social Development, the commission hopes to make it easier for people to register and take part in the vote.
The latest outreach was held in the town of Kleinmond, in the Overstrand Municipality, Western Cape.
