South Africa’s (SA) suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya has resigned from the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Police National Spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says Sibiya’s lawyer tendered the resignation after the disciplinary hearing against him this Monday morning.
Sibiya had an ongoing disciplinary case against him at the time of his resignation.
Mathe says Sibiya’s employment with the Service has been terminated with immediate effect.
