The institution’s QwaQwa campus, which was closed after damage sustained on the campus on Monday following student’s protest over the phasing out of provisional registration, is also expected to reopen on Monday. The University of the Free State Executive Committee, Institutional Representative Council, and Campus Student Representative Councils of the three campuses reached an agreement on the implementation of the phasing out of provisional registration. The university state that the academic calendar has been amended to ensure the successful completion of the 2025 academic year. Students who vacated the QwaQwa campus this week are expected to return on Wednesday and academic activities to resume on Thursday.
