South Africa’s (SA) Minister of International Relations and Co-operation, Ronald Lamola, has called on Libyans to come together and involve all key stakeholders to restore peace in their country.
He made the remarks in response to the assassination of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Lamola pointed out that inclusive dialogue and co-operation among all parties are essential to stabilising Libya and preventing further conflict.
The assassination has intensified political tensions in Libya, where rival factions continue to vie for control in a country struggling to rebuild after years of civil war.
