The case against two Congolese nationals accused of an alleged security breach at the 46th Southern African Development Community (SADC) Summit in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province, has been adjourned.
Tshibindi Mukendi and Tombisa Ngangu are expected back in the Durban Magistrates’ Court on August 27 for a formal requisition hearing, before bringing their bail application.
The matter was postponed after both accused failed to appear in court this morning.
Mukendi and Ngangu were arrested after they allegedly attempted to enter the summit venue using accreditation issued to another person.
They face charges of fraud, impersonation and contravening the Safety at Sports and Recreational Events Act.
The two remain in custody pending their next appearance.
