The South African Football Association’s (SAFA) National Executive Committee (NEC) is meeting in Midrand, Gauteng Province, as preparations intensify ahead of Saturday’s highly anticipated Elective Conference.
The meeting is expected to focus on final preparations for the conference, where new leadership will be elected to steer the country’s football governing body.
The SA Masters and Legends Football Association, an organisation representing former players and officials, is also in Midrand, Gauteng Province but to protest.
The Association representatives are accusing SAFA of denying their members the opportunity to be part of Saturday’s Elective Conference in Midrand.
