Friday is the scheduled deadline for the South African (SA) Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee to submit its final report to the National Assembly.
However, the committee has confirmed that it has written to the Speaker Thoko Didiza to request another extension.
If the request is acceded to, it will be the sixth time it will be granted.
The committee has been investigating the KwaZulu-Natal Province Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi’s allegations on issues of national security.
