The Corruption trial of former South African (SA) National Assembly Speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula will resume in Gauteng High Court sitting in Pretoria this morning.
Mapisa-Nqakula is facing 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering for allegedly soliciting bribes worth millions of Rands from a contractor, Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu between 2016 and 2019 when she was the Defence Minister.
On Monday, the court dismissed her application to have the charges against her dropped ruling that her corruption trial should proceed.
Mapisa-Nqakula took the stand and detailed how she met Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu.
